ABOUT US

VOSH/DelVal is an affiliate elect of
VOSH International, which was
organized by optometrists in 1971.
There are 35 regional and 25 student
chapters of VOSH International
world-wide, who perform eye care
missions, train local health providers and
support sustainable eye clinics in various
parts of the world. Through VOSH
International, we are partnered
with the World Health Organization
and the World Council of Optometry to
work to help to eliminate the preventable
causes of blindness by the year 2020.
We are a non-sectarian, non-governmental organization, in the
process of becoming incorporated as a non profit organization in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and are applying to the IRS for status
as a 501 (c)(3) corporation. Members of our organization have been participating in and leading mission trips in Central America and the Caribbean since 1984. 

 Membership is open to all interested persons; VOSH/DelVal has a special interest in promoting this work in the states of New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland.
